robyn, anna and gia visit redford and suz!!! what fun. gia was shy but warmed up.
fed everyone a smorgesbord of yummies, talked, played. thoroughly enjoyed their visit.

a few weeks ago all of us headed to the outerbanks, less our sweet gg, who stayed at casa de maria and lucia. we were all so excited we even decided to early, just get out of dodge and head east. the "bourban" was packed to the gills with all our toys. the first 2 night we planned to stay in a motel and then move into the cottage we rented for a week after that. long story short, on arrival we were horrified by my choice of motels. unfortunately, we had to suck it up one night but then off to the beacon motor lodge!

it has been so long and so much has been happening. in an effort to set my sights high, let me go back a bit and then catch up.
a while back, redford and mama met granny at the hollymead fire station to accompany her while she delivered yummy cookies to the fire people. granny was so sweet, she wanted to thank them for putting her carseat in correctly!! you were timid at first and not as interested as we had hoped but then we entered the garage where the fire trucks were and you eyes got big as saucers.

so today we made it outside some, which was so nice because it was beautiful and you have wanted to stay in so much lately. nick had to water dada's lettuces because he has gone to learn to sail and you were more then happy to help. you had so much fun with the hose and nick.
it was all nick could do to keep the little tiny salad greens from getting too trampled, sorry dada...but we did miss U!!!!!!!!!!!!

then we filled gg's water bowl and you promised not to dump it out sweet boy cuz you love gg ching.

after that, when nick went over to paint the barn roof, you and i played in the sandbox. we have not played outside and i have so missed it. have you? looks like we had some fun!

later on we swang on the swing and had bean dip with chips. you loved them. you said" yummy in my tummy".
we listened to music and played with gg and watched lots of milo and otis. you really know the parts that seem scary, you run to the tv and bang on it so mama has learned to fast forward over them. you love the little pig and the puppies and kittens. yes, you do love something other than cars!

monday fun

today was so fun. you and i went for coffee and saw diana, then to target where we got MORE cars. then to the mall where we bought dada short swimming trunks to show off his beautiful legs and then to see jennifer (j) at acme where she works. wow. what fun. you were so happy playing when we got home that u had a fit and did not want to nappy but when forced went straight to sleep. you have been asleep for almost 3 hours now due to all that fun we had. goodtimes my sweet.... but you will be up soon and the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing and gg wants us to come outside!

a big boy bed for red

a few nights ago, we heard a thump on the monitor. it was red of course but i had no idea that he had climbed out of his crib and was at his door confused and perhaps bruised? as i was climbing the stairs he sounded so close but it just couldn't be. the crib was so deep? but when i opened his door he was standing right there. i was in shock, my heart was pounding. i knew the day would come....

he is now sleeping in his big boy bed!

and while there is a period of adjustment, all is well.

he seems to like it just fine.

i am so proud of our sweet boy.

easter was so fun around here. the easter bunny brought lots of eggs and hid them all around the yard. j and nick came and brought you a stuffed tonka easter basket full off eggs that had hotwheels in them!!!! they also brought you yummy strawberries....granny grunts and big boo came too. dada left early and got naughty donuts from dunkin' d along with some bagels. what a time was had by all, you were so wired you could barely take your nap despite you total exhaustion.

the playground

tomorrow, you and dada and gg head out to big meadows with the airstream, so today you and i made good fun from the start! first we had some yo yo...

... and some juice, your favorites, and watched bob the builder, your other (new) favorite. as soon as nick came and the big boys packed up for work, you and i got bundled up "a little bit" because it was a tad chilly, and headed for the playground. as we rounded the corner of the playground parking lot we saw a car and low and behold there was someone else there!!!! "2 kids" you said. you were excited but reticent at first. didn't take you long though, you were playing with them as if it was old hat in no time. they had brought balls that you threw and that seemed the real icebreaker. who can resist throwing balls? you also filled the "old dump truck with grass and mulch together and sent it down the slide! then you all watched a huge black beetle with the curiosity only kids seems to display. it was a delight to watch you play with other boys. my heart was warm.
